SUMMARY:Surrey BCSS: Kids in Control Group
DESCRIPTION:Kids in Control Group – Surrey \nBCSS will be offering a Kids in Control group in Surrey for children ages 8 to 12 who have a family member with mental illness. Through Kids in Control\, children learn about mental illness to better understand what is happening for their family member\, and build tools to cope by learning about feelings\, self-care and resiliency. They also have the opportunity to connect with other children who share similar experiences and learn they are not alone. \nThe group will be offered on Tuesdays\, January 21 to March 10\, 2020 from 3:30-5:30pm at Moving Forward Family Services at 12885 85th Avenue\, Surrey. \nIf you know a child or youth who may be interested in attending\, they can be referred to the workshop using the attached referral form.
